Aussie partner stoked by Australian response to Caelo’s innovative Email Organizer.

Nelson BC, October 11, 2000 – Nelson Email Organizer for Outlook from Caelo Software has arrived in Australia with a bang.

Launched in January 2000, Caelo’s email organizer has grown steadily in popularity with both North American and European customers. But what is happening in Australia is unique.

“Australians are taking to the product with real enthusiasm”, says David Bracewell, its Australian-born partner.  “Where we had to pump the North American market to raise Nelson’s product recognition, Australians have just gone to our website and given it a go and the response is deeply satisfying.”

With limited exposure - a technology review in one of Australia’s national broadsheets and an ABC radio review given on Jon Faine’s morning program in Melbourne - interest in the product has taken off to the extent that Australians have become Nelson’s second biggest users after the US market.

“Typically, when a software product arrives on the market, the people showing the most interest are the early adopters. They are pretty adaptable and eager to integrate innovative software into their own work processes. They are also few in number,” says David Bracewell, “which is why this is such a nice surprise. Aussies appear ready to adapt to new technologies quite early in the cycle.”

So what does Nelson Email Organizer offer to Australians that sets it apart from today’s email clients? For one, it is the only desktop product specifically designed to automatically address all aspects of email overload. Existing email programs are based on an outdated technology - a single Inbox where messages pile up. In contrast, Nelson uses indexing technology to automatically display the same message in new and different ways.

Breaking away from the old Inbox model has enabled Caelo to develop a program that fundamentally changes how people use email.

“If Australians like what they see now, then version 2.0 will really pump them. It’s a huge step up in productivity. We are moving Nelson Email Organizer right into email workflow management. From the moment your active mail hits your Inbox you will have the means to keep track of and deal with it in a measured, logical manner. Indexing technology leverages this ability beautifully and Nelson is currently the only desktop product in the world to do it,” says David Bracewell, “And deeper integration with Outlook means we can achieve a high degree of synergy with its office workflow components such as contacts, tasks, journal and calendar. We expect to deliver this within 12 weeks.”

Nelson Email Organizer has full compatibility with Microsoft Outlook 2000 and Windows 2000. Nelson Email Organizer works with Microsoft Outlook 97, 98, 2000 and Microsoft Exchange Server mailboxes. Single-user price is US$29.95. You can download a 30 day trial version from the Caelo website at www.caelo.com .
